Traveling worldwide, MSP’s team has looked through the lens in a new way to capture moments that redefine what is possible on skis.

The film exposes the joys and struggles associated with a lifetime built around skiing, all while narrated to the prolific readings of Alan Watts alongside profound insights from an intimate cast of skiing’s modern day superstars. “DAYS OF MY YOUTH” reminds every viewer of their first time on skis, and reinforces that the experience will continue to keep you young for a lifetime.

Teton Gravity Research – Almost Ablaze

Awarded “Film Of The Year” at the 2014 International Freeski Film Festival, TGR’s Almost Ablaze is a global odyssey combining state-of-the-art cinematography and the most progressive riding on The Planet. Experience a new level of sensory overload as each athlete is wired for sound, immersing the audience completely in the moment. Watch as athletes push the edge to realize a heightened state.

Almost Ablaze highlights stunning locations, next-level riding, and the globetrotting lifestyle of these thrill-seeking athletes. The crew sets up camp deep in the Teton Range hitting 5,000-foot dream lines all on foot. Check out urban riding in the war-torn Winter Olympic venues of Sarajevo. Explore the massive untapped terrain of Sella Nevea, Italy during a record winter where they struggle to keep lifts and chalets from completely disappearing into the snow. Finally, feel the madness as TGR’s full cast of athletes meets in Revelstoke for a mind-blowing session producing some of the most diverse riding in the world. Almost Ablaze takes you beyond the boundaries. Experience a rarely seen state of being and level of excitement where one missed step will result in total chaos.

“The Edge…There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others-the living-are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later. But the edge is still Out there.”

-Hunter S. Thompson

Powderwhore – Some Thing Else

For their tenth film Powderwhore wanted to do something special. So all they did was capture their deepest powder ever, expeditions to the most remote mountain ranges, and the steepest spines on the planet. Combined with the most interesting characters on snow, and their usual low brow humor, and they have a ski movie worthy of their ten years filming the backcountry experience.

Jeremy Jones’ Higher

Ten-time Big Mountain Rider of the Year winner Jeremy Jones revolutionized backcountry snowboarding with Deeper, his 2010 ode to splitboarding and human-powered adventure. His 2012 sequel, Further, took him to the planet’s most remote mountain ranges and earned him a nod as a 2013 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, and his environmental advocacy work with Protect Our Winters won him recognition as one of President Barack Obama’s 2013 Champions of Change.

Now Jones and TGR elevating their game and taking their quest to the next level for the third and final installment of the Deeper, Further, Higher trilogy from the award-winning producers at Teton Gravity Research. Presented by Subaru, Higher traces Jones’ snowboarding journey from hiking Cape Cod’s Jailhouse Hill as a child to accumulating several generations’ worth of wisdom and expertise about thriving and surviving in the winter wilderness.

Jones has gathered friends old and new to pass the torch to the next generation of big mountain rippers. His crew for the film includes Bryan Iguchi, Luca Pandolfi, Ryland Bell, and others. With these friends, Jeremy leaves tracks on signature lines in the close-to-home playgrounds he’s made his own around Jackson Hole. He also makes history with far-flung first descents in the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalayas of Nepal, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.

Higher is in the midst of a worldwid film tour with over 200 stops, is an official selection of the 62nd San Sebastian Film Festival, and is currently a Finalist for Best Film at the 2014 Banff International Mountain Film Festival.
