AIARE Level 1Refresh Class 12/30 with Tahoe Mtn School

The AIARE Level 1 Refresher Course is designed for the student who has completed an AIARE Level 1 avalanche course and would like to update their knowledge and skills to the current level. Recommended every 2-4 years.

The AIARE Level 1 Refresher Course will go over the following:

• Review of basic Level 1 material
• Interpret the avalanche bulletin
• Create a tour plan based on conditions
• Personal/Group gear check
• Discuss risk management plan
• Terrain travel, group management, travel techniques
• Information gathering and observation field work
• Stability tests
• Hands on decision making
• Companion rescue review and practice
