Blizzard Zero G 96 Review: Lighter, Quieter, More Capable
What’s New: A Re-imagined Zero G 96 & 96W

The all new Blizzard Zero G 96 and 96 Women’s are the evolution of what is undoubtedly one of the most iconic backcountry skis of the past decade. Rest assured however, this is not just a new paint job on an old ski, but is a complete re-imagining of Blizzard’s flagship touring ski.
Construction Update: Softer Feel, Same Uphill Efficiency
The new Zero G 96 boasts an entirely new construction designed to soften the ski compared to prior editions. By reducing the amount of carbon in the ski, they’ve provided a similar weight profile in a much more stable and less chatter-prone package.
Zero G 96W: Women-Specific Build & Real-World Testing

Additionally, the Zero G 96W is not simply an alternate colorway but a women’s specific construction that fits right into the ethos of Blizzard’s Women 2 Women project. After blind testing the women’s specific prototype against the standard 96, Blizzard found consistently positive feedback from female athletes and those preferring a slightly softer construction geared towards smaller and lighter skiers.
Shape, Sidecut & Tip Notch: Faster Transitions, Wider Range
A new shape integrating the iconic Zero G tip notch allows for speedy skimo transitions from those counting seconds on their backcountry laps, and the new sidecut profile makes this ski more of a quiver-killer than it ever has been before.
