Spring is here and the snow is melting fast! As we jump into a new season, it’s time to think about new adventures. This event focuses on one of our favorite summer activities: backpacking! If you are new to backpacking or thinking about getting into it, this event is perfect for you. You’ll get a crash course in backpacking and learn the gear basics. For seasoned backpackers this is an opportunity to learn about the latest new gear and pick the brain of a knowledgeable rep.

But backpacking isn’t the only draw to this fun night at Alibi Ale Works. Everyone wants to take beautiful pictures in the mountains, desert, and ocean. So come join us to learn about outdoor photography and how to capture a stunning image wherever adventure takes you.

Outdoor Photography with Lucas Riley

Do you want to know what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite adventure shots?

Or maybe you want some tips on how to capture the beauty of the landscape on your next trip?

Well our first speaker Lucas Riley can help with that. Lucas is an ambassador for NEMO Equipment. He is going to talk about what he loves the most, outdoor photography. How does he get the shots that he does, and the process behind the photo. He will take some time to talk with you all about how to choose where to go and how to prepare for these trips.

It’s all about savoring the moment.

Backpacking 101 with Jonas Goldsmith

The second speaker, Jonas Goldsmith will tell us about camping and backpacking gear and the importance of having the right gear for the right conditions.

Jonas Goldsmith is an outdoor enthusiast who loves skiing, rock climbing, fly fishing, and camping. In 2010, Jonas joined the Parallel 33 Sales Group where he works with others who also share his passion for the outdoors. In 2014, Jonas moved to Northern California where he currently manages P33 sales and brand representation for that part of the region.

He will help choose the best gear for you, talk about all the great features to look for in today’s backpacking gear, and answers common backpacking questions such as these:

How can sleeping pads and bags work together?

What should I know about tent geometry and living space?

What are the key backpacking gear basics?
