About the Local Art Display

What is the Local Art Program? It’s a rotating in-store display of artwork from talented creatives in the Truckee-Tahoe region.

The ordinary walls of our retail store have transformed into a space for artists of all types, from novice to well established, to showcase and sell their work.

And it’s not just a way for locals to gain exposure and sell their art, it’s also a way for customers to get inspired through a special shopping experience!

We’re willing to be that you’ve probably shared the skintrack with these local artists at some point or another.

So next time you stop by, take a moment to enjoy art that way dreamed up on trails and mountaintops, and while you’re at it, pick up a piece to bring adventure to your home.

Details for Truckee-Tahoe Artists

We invite local artists who currently reside in the Truckee or North Lake Tahoe region to display their work with us. A variety of mediums are accepted – photography, paintings, 3D art, etc.

There are a variety of display locations within the store and dimensions and layout can vary based on artwork and seasonal changes in-store. Sample locations include upper wall sections above footwear and apparel (see below). The distance between removable metal slatwall standards is 32 in.

If you’re interested in displaying your work, please come visit to look at the store’s layout and discuss possible display locations. The number of pieces displayed at Tahoe Mountain Sports can vary based on size and medium and will be discussed with TMS staff for optimal visibility, cohesiveness, and placement. Any artwork sold will be charged a 15% commission fee. Tahoe Mountain Sports will handle all sales transactions.
