Fight the Bite with the Powerful Thermacell Backpacker Mosquito Repeller

When you carry most of everything you need for an 18 day motorcycle camping adventure ON your bike, space is quite important. So I was somewhat hesitant to bring along another piece of gear, the Thermacell Backpacker Mosquito Repeller, that may or may not work. But then again, I attract mosquitos like crazy, so I figured the gamble was worth it. And boy was it.

Simple and Effective

One night at camp I was surrounded by so many bugs before my helmet even came off that I was sure I would be eating my dinner in my tent. I had briefly looked at the instructions for the Thermacell before I left home and was amazed at how simple it truly was to activate. It is truly as simple as connecting the device to a fuel canister, sliding in a Repeller Mat, switch to on and pull the ignitor. Within minutes there was a small bubble of area between the tents that had a significant reduction in numbers of mosquitos.

Nearly every campsite we found between Montana and throughout Canada near Banff and Jasper was inundated with my least favorite insect. To the point I started looking for stores to get additional Repeller Mats for my new most valuable camp item. Each Repeller Mat lasts about 4 hours and was effective enough that my very skeptical Moto buddy will also be bringing one from now on. ( I could share, but why. Lol). If you don’t have a mosquito magnet like me to bring along to keep those pests away, I would highly recommend giving this a shot.
